Support your health and wellbeing through local activities and social groups.  Connecting with others and staying active can have a big impact on your overall wellbeing.

We’re pleased to promote a wide range of community-led groups and activities available in the Waterside area, which are open to all residents.

Arts & Crafts – Join friendly, hands-on sessions that help you express your creativity and meet like-minded individuals. No experience needed – just go along and enjoy!

Coffee Mornings – Fancy a cuppa and a chat? Drop in for a relaxed chat over a hot drink. A great way to socialise, reduce isolation, and build community connections. This is an ideal way to make new friends and catch up with old ones.  There's a monthly coffee morning at St John's Hall, Hythe, held on the last Thursday of every month from 11:30am - 1.30pm.

The Book Buddies - The Patient Champions Book Club meets regularly on the second Tuesday of each month between 14.00 & 16.00 in St John's Hall, in Marchwood which is situated in the Churchyard.  (Please note the venue is Marchwood not Hythe.) There are 15 places available overall, but please let the organises know of your intention to attend by using this link https://www.wpcnpatientchampions.co.uk/contact.

Walking Group - the group meets on the 1st Friday of every month.  They meet in the car park at Dibden Enclosure at 12.00.  You may bring your dog with you to enjoy the walk, but you don't need a dog to join the group.  You are very welcome if you would just like to walk in the company of others.

Community Lunches – Share a meal and share a smile. Enjoy a nutritious meal in a welcoming environment. These events provide good food and even better company. Join one of the lunches where everyone is welcome, and nobody eats alone.

Exercise & Wellbeing Groups – Stay active at your own pace. From seated exercise and walking groups to gentle yoga, there’s something for every ability level.  Feel great in body and mind!

There is so much more – from book clubs to walking groups, peer support meetups to singing groups, there’s always something going on.

Come along, get involved, and be part of something special. Whether you're new to the area or have lived here for years, there's a place for you in Waterside.  Let’s work together to build a healthier, happier Waterside community.
