SmokeFree Hampshire @ Tesco Dibden
Shoppers at Tesco Dibden had the opportunity to seek advice and support from Smokefree Hampshire (22nd October 2020) today.
They were able to chat through people’s concerns about quitting, and book further online support to develop a plan.
Seeing the nicotine replacement therapies and chatting informally through about options helps some people make that first step to stop.
Smokefree Hampshire say “Quitting smoking isn’t easy, but giving up greatly improves your own health as well as the health of those around you. Smoking causes extensive damage to your body and your second hand smoke can also cause problems for everybody else too. Not only does smoking damage your fertility, skin, teeth and energy levels it also makes a huge dent in your finances too!”
If you would like to access your free programme of support please contact https://www.smokefreehampshire.co.uk/sign-up-today/
Staff Lunchbox Challenge
19.10.2020
From the 19th October - 31st October, we ran a 2 week lunchbox challenge for staff with the chance to win a lunch for two people at OFFBEET at Sunnyfields Farm.
Most people are aware that practicing healthy habits and eating well are essential to our wellbeing. However, we very often forget why it is so important to implement these healthy habits into our day-to-day lifestyle. The aim of the challenge was to look a little closer at our weekday lunch and see if we can make small (or big!) changes for the better.
This challenge was sponsored by local plant-based restaurant OFFBEET.
Here is some feedback from the challenge:
Zowie (winner): I really enjoyed taking part in the lunch box challenge. Gabbey was always on hand with helpful suggestions and advice. It gave me the opportunity to really think about my day to day nutrition.
Kim L (most improved winner): I definitely found it a really informative challenge and have learnt a lot from it
Hilary L: I just wanted to say by introducing a little more carbs to my diet instead of full keto, I feel I have a lot more energy. It is not till I started taking lunch pictures and helpful hints from you, that I became more mindful of what I eat.
SmokeFree Hampshire
We are so pleased to have linked with SmokeFree Hampshire. They will be visiting Tesco in Hythe on Thursday 22nd October where their team will be there to support you with free expert advice and guidance on quitting smoking. They can help you develop a quit plan and offer advice on the best stop smoking aids and can provide a direct supply of Nicotine replacement therapy. No appointment necessary.
